What is a baby dedication?
Baby dedication is a public declaration by parents to dedicate their child to God and to commit themselves to raising their child in a Christ-centred home.
Baby dedication is not baptism. The Bible teaches that baptism follows personal faith and repentance. Instead, dedication is about parents choosing to honour God in how they raise their child and inviting the church to walk alongside them.
At Hope Church, baby dedications are a joyful opportunity for parents to publicly thank God for their child and commit to raising them to know and follow Jesus, with the support of the church family.

What happens during a dedication?
During a church service, …
…Parents bring their child before the congregation.
…Church leaders pray over the child and family.
…Parents make a commitment to raise their child in God’s ways.
…The church family commits to support, pray for, and encourage the family.
It’s a meaningful moment of prayer and celebration.
